What is Myositis?

The main types include:

Polymyositis – Affects muscles on both sides of the body

Dermatomyositis – Includes skin rash along with muscle weakness

Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM) – More common in older adults; progresses slowly
-
Juvenile Myositis – Occurs in children
